No, that's actually a promoters job, to protect there fighter, to protect there investment and build that fighter up through the ranks in an intelligent way.

Arutro Gatti's promoter use to hire security guards for him. But not to protect him. They hired them to keep him from partying on fight week.

..gatti's ppl giving him out of the ring security is fine, but in the ring i favor promoters who put on the best fights and let the judges or a knockout decide their faith..

It didn't hurt his career and most people have moved on from it.

Chavez was HBO's ratings king and a ppv sell.

Top rank built him up by spending there own money to put on ppv events just to get him on tv. They worked hard to build Chavez up.

It took 1 fight for Haymon to ruin him.

And for what, a fcking Badou Jack fight? Yeah, great job Al.
