Done Time is about to realize that fighting 40 year olds and guys who haven't been in their primes for 7 years is different from fighting a prime top 5 WW.
Your either biased or don't know boxing. You have to adapt to your opponent! You can't brawl every fight! If you do you won't last long in the sport! Eventually you have to box. If you know boxing, you know there's something called fighting off your back foot. This is very effective against aggressive fighters which allows you to set traps. Stop being a fan boy and become a fan\ student of the sport! ONLY THEN WILL YOU BE ABLE TO TRULY ENJOY THE SPORT AND REALIZE WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT
Oh give me a break! At some point in boxing you have to box offensively, not base your entire fight game plan on pot shotting like Garcia and Thurman are doing now. It's gutless, and in no way shape or form "leaving it all in the ring". Guy's like Leonard, Oscar (in his prime), Trinidad, Duran, Hearns, etc, etc..They all came in with a game plan to win valiantly! Not "play it safe" because they are "responsible" in protecting their over inflated pathetic self worth as a brand.

That can also work against a fighter and it does go both ways. Thurman may effectively counter off the back foot, or get backed up too much or in a straight line to the ropes and worked over on the inside. Thurman needs room to punch and that is only when Porter is coming in. Once Porter is on the inside which is where he spends much of his time and has Thurman against the ropes, Thurman loses that distance he needs to punch and is smothered. Porters wheelhouse is on the inside which is where Thurman does not want to be. If Thurman can circle and constantly counter and throw Porter's game off and keep the fight mid-ring, he can win. The problem for Thurman is when he has been backed up, he became very uncomfortable and that was against guys who are not nearly as good on the inside as Porter is. Fighters win and lose fighting off their front and back foot. Styles make fights and that's where the front foot or the back foot becomes a strength or a weakness. Someone has to adjust if what they are doing is not working. This fight is about who can either maintain that style or change it if needed.
