Mexicans don't really take the US seriously as a rival in soccer, and we don't really take the Puerto Ricans seriously as a rival in boxing either, in each one of the sports the supposed "rivals" opposed to Mex are the ones who take them more seriously, again,

They were literally at work streaming the soccer match on their phones in 240p and getting all squirmy every time the ball came close to their net. But hey, they don't care doe right?

We like watching Mexicans fight period, it don't matter against who... everybody likes watching Mexicans fight, again it don't matter who.
The media has perpetuated this whole "Puerto Rico/Mexico rivalry" but in reality no matter who Mexicans fight it's just business as usual, aint nothing special about Puerto Ricans to us, tranquilo gueyComment

Well, maybe you guys should start taking the rivalry a little more serious. Especially considering the fact their small little island is able to trouble you guys so much in relevant fights.
But you know what's a better rivalry altogether? USA vs Mexico in boxing. Mexico can't catch a break on that one.

Manny did not crush mexican fighters. He went 1-1-1 against the big 3. Watch this site when a PR fighter is on and you read the comments that a lot of ppl leave here. And in case you haven't noticed Mexicans love to watch fights period, we are a large market in this sport and one of the reasons it is still thriving, it don't matter who Mexicans fight we will pay to watch regardless, Mexicans going up against Puerto Ricans makes no difference, I agree the media jumps on it though, duh.... they are the ones who have perpetuated this "Big rivalry" between Mexico and Puerto Rico in boxing.
When in reality we can careless. Probably the only fighter that ever got under our skin as fans was Manny Pacquiao because in his prime he crushed all of our beloved fighters while they were at the top, but we have taken care of that already....
