Kov fights excellent from range, good footwork, measures distance responsibly, great jab, and can hurt you without putting much mustard in a punch. I love the fact he's pretty nimble for a guy his size and carries a big can of whoop ass with him in his attitude.
Stevenson got more thunder in 1 hand than Kov has both but Kovs power is brutal as well in it's own way.
Stevenson has quick hands and is tough so I think it'll be a good fight. I just think now it's 60-40 Kov's favor than when before the Hopkins fight I had it 50-50 edge Stevenson especially after he KO'D Dawson.
If Kov gets through Pascal, Stevenson and Ward then he's instant P4P#1 and Fighter of The Year.
We'll be fun to watch him try them, win or lose.
And I agree with Jackson regarding Stevenson.
I would prefer Kovalev/Stevenson first, but if Ward/Kovalev happens first, the winner can still fight Stevenson next.
Ward/Stevenson might be easier to make.

That said, as a Ward fan, I'm torn on this. I'm a fight fan first, so I could never be disappointed when a good fight is made. But as a Ward fan, I'm a lil worried that Kovalev may be beaten before Ward gets him. Or at the least get decked or struggle with Stevenson and has his aura somewhat cracked.
Stevenson isn't that good. But, he hits hard and Kovalev can be hit. So I'm just have to keep my fingers crossed that Kovalev lands first.
For that reason I kinda hope Ward/Kovalev happens first, and the winner fights Stevenson..... but I agree that Kovalev/Stevenson is the better fight.
Just no faith on it all playing out right is the thing.

I got Kovalev a slight favorite over Stevenson - 55/45 Kovalev.
And I got Ward a slight favorite over Kovalev - 60/40 Ward.
Skills pay the bills.
But not betting 1 cent on either fight, too smart for that.
Hope this all plays out..... best of luck to all three guys if it happens.

Pascal is not gonna get lucky, clip Kovalev, and fk everything up, is he ?
Lets not overlook Barrera either, although that should be a good settle-in fight for Ward.

However, people have a misconception about stevenson. He may be one handed but he has like over a hundred different ways that he sets up that left hand. It's the same hand yes, but it's the same hand coming from many different angles and set up in a number of different but creative ways.
He's not a jack of all trades but unlike a jack of all trades, he is a master of his craft.

People here (as elsewhere) are bashing the pimp because of his shameful past and because he blatantly ducked Kovalev in the first place.
