Robert threw less than 40 punches a round. Way lower than what he threw against Floyd. He's shot.
He didn't look shot at all. Using an average punch per round to come to that conclusion is silly. He threw far more in the early going but the return fire from Garcia is what slowed him down over the second half of the fight.
Robert Guerrero is now 4-3 as a WW, and could easily be 3-4 if the judges saw the fight for Martinez.
I never rated him highly, especially at WW, because he doesn't have one dominant win at the weight class. He's struggled in all 7 fights.
He's a gate keeper with a decent name at this point. I wont be surprised if they give him to Vasquez next.
Danny Garcia did what he was supposed to do. I predicted he would win by UD. He had the better boxing skills, better discipline and definitely deserved the decision. But now it's going to get a lot tougher for him. Because Thurman/porter/Khan/Brook are a lot better than Guerrero. He's going to have to fight at least one person from those 4 next.
The only fly in the soup is how Guerrero ****** up those garsh things. Danny hit him with his Sunday punch, kitchen sink, lead pipe, hail Mary and never backed him up. Danny boxed him in between and pulled away.
