  • Comments Thread For: Mike Tyson: Klitschko Affected By Personal Issues, Beats Fury

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson believes Wladimir Klitschko was plagued by personal issues in the lead-up to last November's defense against Tyson Fury.

After a decade of domination, Fury pulled off the upset of the year with a twelve round unanimous decision victory to capture Klitschko's IBO/IBF/WBO/WBA world titles.

Agreed. And this is what I've been trying to tell everyone on here for the past few months.

Tyson Fury did NOT beat Wlad, nor is he a real "champion," Wladimir simply was not in the right mindset and did not want to be there. He did not do anything, he refused to throw any punches. He waited and waited and waited and the whole time had a lot of things on his mind and stress.

If they rematch Wlad is going to KO this big, loud, stiff idiot. IF Wlad fights Fury at any point in their lives and ACTUALLY decides to throw any punches, its lights out without a doubt for Fury.

Did Wlad even throw ONE single right hand? I do not think so.

I'm telling you all right now: Tyson Fury will get BRUTALIZED next match if Wlad actually wants to be there. Fury sucks. Literally. He is not a good fighter.

Forget about Wlad, Fury couldn't even beat Wilder. The Bronze Bomber would destroy that stiff.

      HW rankings:

      1) Wlad (until he actually loses and not simply because he doesn't want to throw punches)
      2) Povetkin
      3) Wilder
      4) Joshua

Those are the only 4 HWs that matter. Fury is irrelevant. Easy work Wlad in the rematch.

"If Wladimir lets his hands go he beats..." fill in the blank. He beats anyone. Nobody cna withstand his power.

But how often does he let his hands go anymore? It's kind of a moot point. He's too old to reign.

Mike Tyson is the man, but I think his fight picks often suck so idk about all this. I think he just says the first thing he thinks of when asked for fight picks cuz he's rarely coming off as the student of boxing he obviously is with many of his picks logic.

Anyone keep track of boxing peoples fight picks btw? I'd love to see how ****ty some of these cats do & see who's really got a knack for calling fights.

if Wlad can pull off more rounds like the 12th, Fury will lose but he might just be the point in career where it's hard to pull trigger-Fury's size being huge factor....
Wlad basically needs a KO in England too.

Klitschko's been fighting at this level for so long that even if he was distracted by out of the ring events his muscle memory would have taken over and auto-piloted his way to victory, especially over a fighter whom many people still consider a bum and a joke.

Tyson's entitled to his opinion, and it may well turn out to be true, but a number of Fury fans predicted that the fight would go exactly this way, knowing what we know of Fury and Klitschko's in-ring habits, traits and skills as well as what we saw in interviews, pressers etc.

Whatever though. People are going to think what they think, and if people reckon Wlad's going to win the rematch then they're welcome to lay their money down and improve the odds for those who don't consider the first fight a fluke.

Well this is not true. I'd actually say there are probably more dodgy decisions in the states than anywhere.

Wlad has to do what he hasn't in over a decade, take risks. I don't think he can, he's too afraid of being knocked out.

Didn't Mike recently say Fury is the best heavyweight since him...? Seems to have changed his tune...
