GGG is the biggest diva in boxing

Yeah I'm guessing GGG will try and get Canelo stripped (duck move again), instead of taking the fight. Canelo will make the fight happen in the end cause he's out for glory. Canelo since day one when he signed back with HBO , said "I fight at 155lbs and I want these names , Pacquiao , Cotto and GGG. " 155lbs is not a big deal at all when GGG said he can make 154lbs and 90/10 split is fair, 10% of that event is gonna be a boatload of cash for GGG , his biggest payday ever. GGG is full of excuses, he's got a yellow streak running down his back.

Also I'm not aware of any fighters that had to drop down to lowest possible CW, much less mandos or for title unification, never mind when the catchweights champ is heavier fight night. There's been some chicken**** CW requests over the years but this is the weakest by far
Who cares if he is the mandatory. When the WBC said they would make Pac the mandatory for Floyd Jr. and he said he drop the belt before being forced to fight him no said anything bad about Jr. Your too caught up in the boxing politics to see the big picture.
Sure GGG wants a legit strap around his waste. But the bigger prize is the payday that goes with it. The last thing GGG wants Canelo to do is drop the belt or be stripped, as long as Canelo holds it the potential for a big payday exists. Trust me, the Mexican fanbase would not care if Canelo drops the belt. Its a business and Canelo holds all the trump cards here. GGG is in his mid thirties and no other big paydays on the horizon, holding all the belts just means a bigger piece of his purse goes to sanctioning fees.
If the fight happens this year its because K2 and GGG realize they have no choice but to accept Canelo's terms. Otherwise they can pick up another paper title from a no name and make a fraction of what a Canelo fight would bring.
Get off your code of honor bs, this is a business first and Canelo knows his worth.

I see this whole thing going south. Canelo will get stripped by June. Then GGG will probably fight Johnson, then Jacobs and Saunders. If he gets the kind of publicity K2 wants, then he'll get the kind of money he wants. I don't see the WBC giving Canelo authority to enforce the 155 catchweight. If Canelo's next fight flops, hopefully I will be wrong and they take the GGG fight in the fall. I honestly don't believe anyone in the division has the kind of starpower like Canelo or GGG.

Regarding the money, I don't see Canelo making 900k for the next PPV unless it's golovkin. The 97k or 150k that GGG haters love bringing up is irrelevant. Mainly because he keeps getting more media attention and more casual fans. He sold out MSG but Canelo and Cotto couldn't sell out MGM? I mean GGG fought a Canadian whose prevoius fight wasn't even televised on american tv.

Why do we believe Lara called out GGG on twitter when Lara hardly speaks any English?

Why do you ignore the fact that Golovkin tried fighting Carl Froch repeatedly, despite the fact that Froch was probably the 2nd best guy at 168 and also a larger opponent?

Why do you cry about how Golovkin calls out Canelo, despite the fact that Canelo took the Middleweight Lineal Title and WBC Title from Cotto?

Why don't you take Timothy Bradley seriously about him saying he would fight GGG?[/QUOTE
          1. Lara is an elite fighter a top notch talent who excepted the challenge from 154-168. Lara has a better resume then GGG & the same amount of ppv events as GGG , but Lara's ppv event sold more, so yeah Lara is very qualified. Mayweather vs Pacquiao happened , that's hbo & showtime, Bob Arum & Al Haymon so it's not impossible. Al Haymon and k2 promotions can be professional and make the fight. 2. Lara called out GGG at 160lbs on national tv. Through his right hand man DeCubas who speaks perfect english, After putting a boxing clinic on Rodriguez. Same guy that was used to call out Canelo. 3. Froch excepted , then GGG said we only fight at 160. 4. (Not saying he'd win but) I do take Bradley seriously when he says he'd fight GGG, Bradley is a warrior he ducks no one either like Canelo. 5. I'm not crying , I want that fight to happen , I just want GGG to take a risk at least once in his life.
Here is a quote from Timothy Bradley you should take seriously : " I watched GGG fight live front row, I was surprised how slow he was, yeah he is strong but man he's realy slow, my money is on Canelo , I'm picking Canelo to beat GGG if they fight."

Alright, you're trolling. My bad bruh, didn't realize it at first.

Team GGG and his fans were all about flexing their muscle, to avoid and belittle guys like Ward & Lara, saying " GGG is a huge star , he's about to headline a huge PPV event, he sells out arenas , Ward & Lara are small potatoes, they can't sell out arenas they can't sell ppv " . It's not Canelos or Cottos fault GGGs PPV event flopped bad. Canelos latest PPV event generated a total of $70 million dollars plus, while GGG PPV event only generated $7 million these are facts. If this fight doesn't get made its all on GGG. CANELO is gonna continue to do big things, like for example , opening up that brand new MGM Casino which we all know is going to be Epic!

I see what your saying but Canelo didn't make that 70 mil on his own. He had the help of a legend in Miguel Cotto who had already been on many PPV's. the big things you claim Canelo will do are not promising. he has no bigger opponent than GGG and looking at the controversy and comments GGG posts get. I think plenty of people are going to watch GGG's next fight

Floyd was in a totally different place than Canelo, much more proven, much better, much farther ahead every way. What's Canelo gonna do if he gets stripped and has to scavenge at 156 while Ggg is holding all the belts? Dropping a belt to avoid the biggest toughest fight around, that's not Mexican style.

Bud, 90/10 is not the biggest money around for Ggg, that's a joke. As is Canelo insisting on 155. FFS he even asked for 156 from Cotto lol. Basically Canelo terms = whatever goalposts they believe are narrow enough

You don't get it. Canelo's popularity has 0 to do with belts. He is a young fighter that has an exciting style that can be in great fights. I bet 80% of the people that watched the Cotto fight couldn't tell you who has which middle weight belt or who is lineal champ, they don't care. Case in point is GGG's last fight. He couldn't even sell 100k despite having multiple titles.
If Canelo dropped the belt his PPV numbers would not suffer at all. If he never fought GGG his career would not be impacted one bit. GGG only has one viable payday left. Its up to him if he is willing to pay the price to make it happen.

You cant compare ggg numbers to canelo, one has the best built in fanbase in boxing, other guy nothing like that. Just being featured on HBO ppv is a feat for a guy like Ggg.

Canelo popularity is in large part due to his looks and the rep for taking on all comers. This second one will suffer if he drops the belt to avoid the biggest fight around. I'm sure he'll still be a viable attraction, he's still got the hair
