It's funny how people call Canelo a coward for proposing a catchweight to fight Golovkin even though 155 is still consider Middleweight. Yet Golovkin calls out anyone from 154 to 168 then when Andre Ward n Esrilandy Lara accept his challenge. Golovkin comes up with excuses not to fight them, lol. Their individual records speaks for themselves Canelo has fought the best and has dare to be great while Golovkin been satisfy knocking out bums Or fighters that just stand in front of him. Next Time people wanna call Nelo a coward look at his history the kid never ran from anyone and would of fought a prime Paul Willams if not for the accident.
3 Hall of Fame Boxers, Ok I stipulate to a way past his prime Mosley(By 5 yrs) and Cotto who he outweighed by at least 25+ pounds on fight-night. Mayweather yes, was definitely the cream of the crop and you saw what he did to Canelo, made him look like a rookie. Kirkland and Angulo were plain shot. In all I believe Golovkin's opponents were more dangerous than the either small or old guys Nelo has beaten.

Canelo has been fighting at catch-weights but he hasn't drained or cheated any of his opponents like the way Pac or Floyd have.

First, let's stop pretending you don't know the reason Canelo isn't as drained is because of his age. Young guys can do the weight draining much easier than guys in their 30's.
Is Canelo trying to drain GGG, of course. If it was just about him weighing 155, then Canelo could boil down if he wanted too. It appears they want an advantage over another MW champ.
Actually, that's exactly what Canelo and GBP has done, and is trying to do.
Goldenboy has pulled a Floyd. Picked up named fights with fighters who are shot.
Mosley, that was a paycheck for the old man.
Kirkland-had to drop 55 pounds to make weight. At 155, that should have just been a MW fight. Kirkland was inactive for almost two years. He was shot.
Angulo came in with simular issues. Hunter even said dude was done. Canelo came in at 175 for that fight. Now look at Canelo then, and look at him now.
Trout wasn't that great to begin with, and even though he beat Cotto, it was a crappy Cotto.
Cotto was fighting a guy 20-25 pounds heavier than him. Canelo never looked bigger and hid his fight night weight (I wonder why he decided to not let himself get weighed in this fight). Oh, because of who he was to fight next.
Now when Canelo is faced with a guy he will outweigh by ten pounds come fight night, what does he want to do, gain an edge. Why, because GGG is not only a better all around fighter, but he has major power and Canelo/De La Hoya knows it. They don't care it makes them look pathetic.
De La Hoya has the nerve to say Floyd drained Canelo 2 pounds, but wants GGG to defend his titles he won at 160, but defend them at 155.

Both want the fight on their own terms. Problem for GGG is he has no leverage to force those terms on Canelo and never will.
The fight will happen when GGG comes to Canelo's terms and not a second before.
GGG can have his pride and the belt as he beats another no name to win it while no one outside of his hardcore fans watch or care.
Or he can do as many fighters have done before and give up his demands for a chance at a career payday and a legacy fight. Its his choice. Canelo and Golden boy are more than happy to wait as long as it takes, if ever.

Also I'm not aware of any fighters that had to drop down to lowest possible CW, much less mandos or for title unification, never mind when the catchweights champ is heavier fight night. There's been some chicken**** CW requests over the years but this is the weakest by far
