Rigo is the worst promoted boxer in the world today

Rigo has the worst managers and promoter ever in boxing and that itself is a disgrace. GGG is also terribly managed and promoted which has cost GGG millions. Boxing is a sport with no leadership and filled by crooks and greedy self serving promoters. sad to see Rigo and GGG ignored and screwed over. Greed rules boxing and foreign fighters in the USA get the shaft. Not fair but this is life in America. Greed is God.

Be nice to see him fight 3 times this year. Time isn't on his side.

Rigondeaux was extremely sharp with Pedro Diaz as his trainer. I can't wait for his next fight.

To Rigo i would say fight don't wait for a big check and fight more often and don't change your style...you could always incorporate things to make it more appealing if you want but if it aint broken dont fix it....
i wont lie rigo is boring is some bouts..his last one was terrible and maybe 3 other ones..but the fact that i know he's one of the greats makes me respect him..he's not boring like klitchko..he's not bigger that everyone and hold he's actually 125lbs in the ring compared to others being 135 and he's breaking their faces...and in big time fifghts i dont care about the action i want to see who turns out to be the best..and they have to go through him to prove that

There is no comparison between Rigo's and Golovkin's career viz-a-viz promotional side. GGG was unknown in 2012 to even many hardcore fans. Now he is doing adverts and selling 15,000/20,000 seats - get out of here with that lazy ass comparison.

Cool. As long as it's not on HBO.
It's time for HBO to invest on the future. They have a limited budget and limited time. No point in wasting it on Rigo. They don't even have anyone for him at 122. It's nothing against Rigo, but it's just time to move on.
Golden Boy, Top Rank and K2 (and other promoters) have several young/newer fighters that are ready to be shown to the Public. Some new and some established fighters.
Time to keep investing in guys like Canelo, GGG, Kovalev, Chocolatito, Lomachenko, Crawford, Luis Ortiz, Walters, etc.
If they could get Fury that would be great for them.
Then there is the new breed (including Champions, Contenders, and Prospects) that need to be given a chance and are ready to get an opportunity: Inoue, Estrada, Usyk, Valdez, Gvozdyk, Kavaliauskas, Verdejo, Jose Ramirez, Joseph Diaz Jr., etc.
It's time for HBO to start investing their money more intelligently and start setting up fights for the future. Rigo just simply won't fit in the plan.

The 2016 Olympics are this year. I'm sure some of the US Olympians will go with Top Rank or Golden Boy. I'm sure K2 and Egis Klimas will keep investing and briging Eastern European and Asian fighters with great amateur pedigrees (Olympians, Olympic medalist, World medalist, European Championship medalist, Asian Championship medalist). There just isn't room for someone like Rigo anymore, unfortunately.

It is what it is. Out with the Old in with the New.
