He's right that doing an activity you are passionate about will carry you into healthy old age.

True, but it's no coincidence that his comment is following talks of Pacquiao's retirement, and let me tell you when the activity you're passionate about is boxing, this is not the case.

The second he does retire he is going to turn into this barely recognizable feeble old man. Retirement is not a good thing. The responsibilities of work keep you young.

But Bob is not boxing he is promoting. Look at Jimmy Carter - still going strong because his passionate about his foundation. I know an 82 yr old guy in Atlanta, still has 100 rental apartments and runs the business himself. 30 of them in Panama City in Florida and he drives there twice a month - an inspiration.

I understand the concept, having a purpose in life keeps you going and I get that, but the only reason i think he's even bringing it up is to say "Manny may be retiring but i never will."

I guess what I'm saying is Arum has the luxury to not retire, Pacquiao does not. We all know the long term effects of fighter refusing to retire, and Arum seems to be giving Pac s hit for it, first by not accepting it and respecting his decision and now with this comment.

Ok - got ya - I'm a bit slow today. Hospitalized. I think there has been some rift between them - I think Arum would have preferred a Crawford fight.
