I have no problem Haymon killing HBO. I wish all fighters would just sign up with Haymon so we don't have to hear Haymon fighters calling out HBO fighters knowing such fight cannot be made. It's nauseating. Look at Lara. You won't hear him calling out his fellow Haymon fighters.

Well Canelo is single handedly killing HBO. He refuses to fight Gennady or even Monroe Jr LOL!!! The vampire wants small old shot MWs like Cotto to defend his 160 title against at 155. XDD Cantnelo knows now shame.

There been like one show this year. Even if it mattered, which it doesn't, you can't just combined PBC and Showtime. Showtime fights aren't PBC fights and vice versa.

U didnt know? For this type of groupie, Showtime and PBC are the same cause Floyd fights for Shotime and works with Haymon. Imagine, being a fighter groupie is bad, but now some guys are even a promoter/channel groupie.
            Pretty bad isnt it?

Anyways I couldn't careless who puts up better fights, as long as a fight fan I got good fights.

Showtime is killing HBO so far in 2016 (even not counting the PBC fights)

Showtime opened the year with the Wilder-Szpilka fight, already have two solid ShoBox cards in the cue for Jan/early Feb with more to be announced, and the Frampton-Quigg/Santa Cruz-Martinez doubleheader, will likely formally announce Jack-ChavezJr for April, will likely host a Brook-Bizier/Amir Khan split site doubleheader in March, will likely host Wilder-Povetkin in June, and that's all before the summer settles in (Adonis Stevenson will also have a fight before then).

HBO has Ward-Barrera... and that's about it for me; depending on the other fights put on the bill, I may venture out to a pub to see the Bradley fight, in addition to likely going out to see Kovalev-Stevenson if that fight gets made.

PBC's business plan better intend to kill Showtime boxing right along with HBO boxing if they truly have a lucrative endgame in mind...

The thing is though.....who cares? Why should I care that one network, company is doing better than another? I just want the best fights regardless of which channel it is on.

Canelo would've fought Cotto even without the WBC belt, so there's no need to act as if Canelo is worried about that belt; he's not going to disrespect the WBC, but everyone knows what it is. If Golovkin camp insists on not fighting at 155 (let alone trying to push anything in term of the money split), Canelo will kindly hand the WBC 160 belt to the WBC, and move on with his career.

Canelo will continue to fight at 154/155 until he can't comfortably get the weight off (likely for another year or so) before finally moving up in weight. Liam Smith has the WBO 154 belt, so that's an option, a Cotto rematch is still a massive money fight, and, without any real other mega money fights to look towards, Alvarez can simply pick off 154lbers and MWs willing to come down until something emerges.

I'm not tuning in, but with Canelo basically being a PPV/Mexican TV fighter at this point, HBO doesn't really need to care. vs Liam Smith in May at 155 (HBOPPV/UK TV money/Mexico TV money), and vs Clottey/Soro in September (regular HBO/Mexico TV money), before closing out the year with the Cotto rematch on PPV.
