Joshua won a gold medal Gg only got a silver l.
Its obvious joshua will be a bigger star eventually but Who is a bigger star now? Did joshua already surpass gg?
    Has he surpassed cotto?
Gg fought a Canadian super star
    Joshua fought a no name

*as loeffer says but he has already been proven to lie before
Look at the results of your own poll. This board thinks GGG is the bigger star by 100% to zero. The single vote for Joshua is your vote. Do you remember English heavyweight prospect David Price? He was close to being a star with all his KO wins. Then an old journeyman knocked him out a couple of times and you don't hear about David Price anymore. Something similar could happen to Joshua and then he is no longer a pay for view star. There is very little chance of GGG getting beat in the near future. Truthfully what does it matter to anybody but the boxers who sells the most pay for views? I don't get any of their pay for view money.GGG would still be my favorite boxer because of what he brings into the ring even if his pfv sales were next to nothing.

I think the powers that be at HBO used GGG's laughably "massive" internet popularity as a metric in gauging the viability of pushing him as a PPV attraction in the United States. Needless to say, I'm sure they were surprised at the results (which shows you what dinosaurs they truly are up the ranks at HBO and Showtime sports). They never would have made that a PPV equipped with semi-adequate information.

But i think worldwide GGG may be more recognizeable.

Just imagine if GGG was a Brit. Dude would be a considered a God and would prolly get royalty status anointed onto him.
Not true it was 15 or 20 pounds

If GGG was a brit he'd be Froch.

Oh really? Then why did you point out that Joshua won the Olympic gold medal while GGG only won the silver medal? You are a big Joshua fan and you don't like GGG and it clearly shows. If Joshua starts fighting top 10 heavyweights and goes 34 pro fights without a loss or a draw then maybe he is as good as you say he is.

Ok no debate, anyways Brits are loyal and great followers of boxing. And in Joshuas last fight it was a brit vs brit battle, so the country was jacked up for the fight which made it a british success.

But IMO as far as being recognized on a worldwide basis I think GGG takes it regardless if Joshua made more money in his last fight. That money Joshua made was from British television.

Froch actually has some notable wins on his resume though.

Wasn't AJ's PPV dirt cheap? Anyway he's doing very well for where he is in his career, especially in terms attracting local fans, but idk if he's achieved much international notoriety.

Not a huge difference between the two but I'd say GGG is still ahead. Might not be that way for long if GGG doesn't get a marquee name in 2016.

I don't know about pfv sales but GGG has defended the world middleweight title successfully 14 times in a row by KO. GGG has never been hurt or ever lost more than a round in any fight. Joshua has never defeated a fighter ranked even in the top 25 in the world. Joshua was badly hurt by an unranked rookie in his last fight. GGG has proven himself to be the best middleweight in the world so you know he will be a star for at least a few more years. Joshua may not be good enough to be a champion. A guy like Wilder or Ortiz might knock him out and send him into retirement. Joshua is just unproven promising very popular prospect. GGG is an established bad ass and there is the difference.
how do you defend the world middleweight title 14 times when you're not the middleweight champion?
