Can David Haye just get another fight really soon since this wasn't a test for him? i.e. not much rest required before the next fight.

Soon in David Haye time would be like two years. He's just going to go back to trying to talk his way into big money fights like Amir Khan and Shannon Briggs do.

It might be a good idea to stay active against minor opponents but he really wants the big fights as soon as possible so I doubt he's going to do like Dereck Chisora is doing at the moment by fighting every other week. I think Haye plans to have a world title fight by the end of this year which means he'll probably have 1 or max 2 fights beforehand against some name opponents. Lets face it, Haye is a former world champ and a star who transcends boxing so he'll be able to get a world title shot much sooner than most, especially with the titles now split in 3.

hope not as it's very boring to do that.

it won't be 2 years. He wants to fight Joshua this year

i think david haye expects a certain amount of money and attention before he gets in the ring. he's not going to quietly labour away on undercards like martin murray or dereck chisora

I think if Haye takes another fight quickly itll show how serious he is about boxing or if this is just for the $. Good 1st fight and win as a confidence booster but I think he needs at least 2 tune ups before he takes on a top 10-15 HW.

              Who even cares?

All he's gonna' do is beat up cans until he can land a big money fight in which he'll run away for 12 rounds and then indignantly blame his toe.

Then he'll fade away until somebody talks him out of his money.

              Again.

He should, Fury won't fight unless mando (Wlad too). Wilder has to fight Povetkin, so he won't be available soon.
Martin, he will not fight Haye.

So the best way to get back to the top, would be fighting often and forcing the champs to fight.

                  Absolutely not.

Time off is to let the body recover from the strain of a training camp, not from the fight itself (unless there is an injury or brutal knockout suffered). At age 35 he'll need at least a month to let his body recover before going again.

I'd imagine we'll see him again around late April or May.
