Comments Thread For: Crawford's Coach: Terence Don't Need Pacquiao To Build Legacy!

Should WBO junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford (27-0, 19KOs) defeat Hank Lundy come this February 27th in New York City, most of the boxing world will be pushing for Crawford to fight his Top Rank stablemate Viktor Postol, who holds the WBC's version of the 140-pound crown.

Agreed, he doesn't...but it wouldn't hurt him none either. Hell it'd make it easier. Just look at how people boast about Garcia beating a Morales who had nothing left in the tank, like not even the motivation to train.

All good. Pacquiao would have pasted his ass anyways. Even at second fiddle boy, he's still well above Crawford-Raquel type of opponents.

I agree. These fighters need to stop chasing after Floyd & Pacquiao and build their own legacy.

Yep Pac would waste Crawford. Dude reminds me of a samll Holyfield, yet doesn't have the speed combination punching advantages Holy had a heavy. Pac hits harder, is faster and is more experienced at the top level. Even if he is shot.

Silly comment of course you need huge names like manny and others to build your legacy or else you just beat bums and mediocre fighters will never get HBO showtime gigs Ppv unless it's big names. Still hurting Bradley got the fight. Crawford very good but casual fan doesn't know him

Good call. Losing to Pacquiao is not a good way to build a legacy, although Floyd did a good job with that.

You don't "need" Pacquiao, but it would've helped "immensely."

Crawford just needs a big name to beat not Lundy

Once Crawford beats a really good fighter decisively then His career should take off quickly. Until that happens Crawford will still be an unknown and unrecognized nothing. Heck beat up Algieri or Vic Ortiz or Broner.
