I wish Canelo would have a little bit of Erik Morales inside of him. Unfortunately, he's not cut from the same cloth. Mexican greats like Barrera, Chavez, Morales or Marquez would've fought Golovkin already. Canelo is not a real Mexican warrior, but a scared little boy, hiding at fake fantasy weight classes, terrified by Golovkin's aura, afraid of the real emperor of 160 lbs. I think one can already tell by now that he's not capable of beating Golovkin. How can you win a fight with zero confidence? This boy is scared to death.

They both know how good the other one is. I think Canelo has the best chance of any boxer who fights at 160 pounds or less to beat GGG. I expect GGG to win because he is the best middleweight in the world. Canelo might be the first boxer in many years to go the full distance with GGG. He has a great chin as you said. He was staggered by Cotto's hard punching brother when he was a teenager. No boxer has ever staggered Canelo since then including Cotto, Mosley, Lara, Angulo and Kirkland. GGG will, of course be the hardest puncher Canelo has ever faced. Nobody has ever hurt GGG so far.
I concur with this post. They are 2 of my favourite fighters also and I don't want either man to lose.

Actually: as long as they don't have a signed fight, Golovkin can neither underestimate nor overestimate Canelo.

          Pointless thread.

Why would he? It'll be the biggest fight/challenge of his career thus far. Don't see why he would wait till now to underestimate and slack off.

With that said....ODH isn't going to let his meal ticket anywhere near GGG until sometime next year or so. He knows GGG can seriously derail his plans for Canelo.

Canelo's character seems very conservative in the ring, meaning, I've never seen him angry, he can take a GGG punch either from the face or body, you guys will shocked. We can all act like Canelo is the same as GGG's resume opposition, but we know that's not the case. Seeing GGG fight all the time, that dude goes out to kill with aggression, and he seemed exhausted against Monroe Jr.... I'm telling yall, it will be a great fight! The kid will turn into a beast and risk it all.
True, we haven't seen the best of Canelo yet he's do for another ko of the year type performance. Canelo is the more well rounded boxer. I picture this one going down like the Kirkland fight . I expect GGG to come out guns blazing for the first couple of rounds , while Canelo weathers the storm and counters with bombs and opens up his offense. CANELO is too smart too fast too slick and too technical along with the reach advantage and hand speed advantage with power in both hands as well and he's gonna have the homefield advantage along with too much experience against elite fighters in the biggest stages in boxing , too much for the slow robotic no defense having Golovkin

No one gave Marquez a chance, they all said PacMan would destroy Marquez , Marquez put PacMan to sleep in KO of the year then those same fans talking down on Marquez were no where to be found. When Golovkin walks down the "yellow brick road " and comes back with a heart and a pair of balls, & mans up to fight CANELO , Saul Alvarez will shine in this fight.

He's yet to underestimate opponents that are much lesser than Canelo so why is this even a topic?

To be honest, all Canelo has to do is avoid his Power and get it to the Cards and he WINS, yes that simple!

That is not taking anything away from GGG, he is a BEAST but unless he knocks Canelo out, it is going to be HARD to get wins over Canelo if it goes to the Cards.
