    Garbage can.
He's never wanted to fight Povetkin anywhere.
Dude that article said nothing about dumping a belt. Seems more like that's something you want to happen.

What happened to all the 'best bidder doe' defenders? This is why Stevenson is apparently unable to fight Kovalev on HBO, right? Sure as **** isn't because he's contractually obligated to fight somewhere else.

Wilder shouldn't go to Russia. After he beats Povetkin they will mysteriously come up with some failed drug test results and disqualify Deontay, using chicanery to strip his belt from him.

Let Freedom ring for Wilder and martin and let that commie Povie sing-the blues. Haymon is small time and more a pimp than a promoter but these coloreds obey that haymon slime crap that gets dished out and absorbed like rock ******* to Haymon fighters all dimwits. Unless that Russian billionaire pays Wilder $10 million for a Russia fight I'd tell Povetkin to kiss wilders rear end. Martin awaits with the IBF title belt. All Povetkin has is an empty hand.
what an idiot you must be.
            Freedom? ahahahah, what a fool.

I have lived in four countries, been in at least 30 and let me tell you the USA doesn't make it into the top 20.

Keep watching Fox and let them feed you this ******ity, arse.

Doubt this fight happens in Russia. It's really just not a good place to hold fights tbh. Too much drama and instability in the boxing community there.

Er why do you think most fights were in America in the past Promoters like Bob and Don...

Yeah it made financial sense, but America has robbed non Yanks too... but the reality is, American promoters always won the bids. Now? Well other promoters like Saunderland, Hearn, the Russian guy etc are putting money in because it's a good business.

However they are smart and will go to the USA if the money is right.

Boxing has always been about purse bids unless something is negotiated. That's boxing. Many of the replies suggest that most here are armchair fans and don't really follow boxing behind the scenes at all

I don't love him saying he wants to be a champ of the world a day ago & now saying "nah" to Russia I gotta say. I can understand some concerns with fighting in Russia one might have with all the PED accusations & su****ions going on, but I think you wanna word things a lil better than Wilder did.

With the whole Fury thing last night they do seem to have opened a door where he could decide to fight Fury next (assuming Fury gets past Klitschko a 2nd time as I suspect he will) & wouldn't get much backlash for leaving Povetkin to fight for a vacant title. Some surely would take issue with it, but to me it'd be like Bradley leaving Khan hanging to make moves that led to Pacquiao or Floyd leaving Margarito & TR hanging to make moves that led to ODLH. So bypassing one guy to take a better & bigger fight is just good business that also bumps you to a higher status quicker if you win. I hope he doesn't do that, but the ground work is arguably there if Haymon & Ryabinsky can't come to terms.

If they fight in April it will still be pretty chilly in New York.
