To be fair to him - has he actually come close to losing?

He has to be quite good despite at times compelling evidence to the contrary like him nearly sending himself over the top rope to finish off that French dude or his patented deadly windmill attack which tends to get an airing in each fight. The man is dangerous.

      He's done exceptionally well.

      -60 or so fights
      -an Olympic medal
      -a world title

That's very impressive. My point is, just enjoy the ride.

        definitely.

I wont have a grain of criticism for him the moment he signs to fight Povetkin.

He has so much power in that right hand that as long as he can stay upright he can win any fight. He can't outbox Fury but he can land something that changes the fight. We saw a quick right hand put a guy out cold and on a stretcher last night.

Last night was ugly but I also don't think it was as bad as people are making it out to be. Szpilka is very awkward and difficult to time and hit clean but Wilder still landed some solid shots that Szpilka took (credit to him). He will hit Povetkin and Fury more than he hit Szpilka last night.

I think if Povetkin or Fury were to win the early rounds, then knock him down, Wilder would get up and unleash bombs. It might get him KO'd but it would spectacular to see

If he can somehow get the 'poetry in motion' then he will be a lot more dangerous in his attack and have a solid defense which is essential against the HWs.
            Excellent way of putting it!

I'm not a HW fan, but I've found Wilder to be entertaining.

What I saw last night was Wilder getting outboxed by the shorter man who is just a step above being a d level fighter, that was ridiculous. Wilder's power got him out of a tough spot, it will not do so against Fury and from what I saw last night, if the Povetkin fight happens next, then Pov, with his own new found power, will drop Wilder and win a points decision.
I can't see how that fight will go the distance. If they make Povetkin vs Wilder somebody is going to get knocked out.

I think Wilder recuperates well, Pov can KD but can he KO? Not saying it won't happen and if a KO does happen, it's likely in favour of Povetkin.
