What kind of ****** question is that? Fans paid to attend and watch their fights, it's not the fan's fault that some boxers are too ****** to save their money and throw it out like trash.

You'd think these guys could make money from signing things and stuff, maybe not Leon Spinks but Tommy Hearns you'd think could get a few hundred for a signed glove or a poster etc.

To be fair alot of them were not ****** with their money, they were just very badly managed/uneducated on a lot of things. Like with Roy Jones and Felix Trinidad having failed investments. Roy tried to do the right thing but investments aren't guaranteed success.

I'm sure they still care about their achievements but thats in the past and their financial struggles are right now.

There is only so much a boxer can do after they retire, especially guys like Leon Spinks and Tommy Hearns who are cognitively and physically damaged from the punishment they took over the years, and had no plan after retirement and probably didn't even plan to retire when they did. Like Mayweather says, he retired from boxing, boxing retired them.

Its two different sets of problems. They dont know how to hang onto money. An entrepreneur sells is his company for 20m dollars. He is expected to be set for life because he know how to invest and grow that money.

A fighter earns 20m dollars. He is going to go out and buy cars, and spend it at the clubs and buying women expensive clothes, and buying houses that are way to big.

                Then they end up broke.

More to do with their lack of education about money management, then what they earned.
