      NO WAY.... I don't believe it !!

When the IBF stripped Fury, they told me that Glazkov was the best heavyweight on the planet.

Oh well, so long as they got it sorted eventually, I suppose.

Looks like Martin is the best heavyweight on the planet.

      Congratulations IBF ^^

Somehow the IBF doesn't even have Luis Ortiz ranked in the top 15. That's a joke... He could easily take the belt from Martin whenever he wants.

Martin did nothing and he's a champ
It's not his fault though. I feel bad for Glazkov. I think he would've won if it wasn't for the knee giving out.

And Glazkov obviously injured a knee. The word you seek is coincidental, not 'mysterious'.

IMO Martin was going to win anyway. He was more sturdy and confident, was starting to dominate. Glazkov I don't think would've lasted many more rounds. But yes, a very strange ending indeed. Can't wait to see Wilder/Povetkin, then Wilder/Martin or Povetkin/Martin... and in between maybe Martin does a voluntary.
I think its more than just "coincidental", especially with how they never seem to happen to his guys, just the other way around.

A fight is 12 rounds, not 2. Regardless of the way the fight was going, I don't consider that a victory. Two feeling out rounds and some bum now has a paper title without doing anything.
And if Martin doesn't follow the Windmiller diet, he won't last anyways.
He's slow, flat-footed, and quite stiff.
Thinking about the fact that this bum now has a title is depressing to say the least. And it should be.

Why does he get a world title when the injury didn't come from a punch?

It's a shoddy way to win.

It's almost funny, Martin is as much of a world champion as Wilder is and Haye was and he didn't even do anything.

Martin is a statue, so slow and laboured in what he does he'd get chewed up by any of the top guys out there, Fury, Wilder, Povetkin, the back again David Haye, or young gun Joshua. The still untested Kiwi, Joseph Parker, would likewise get my vote and carry my cash in a fight against this new "champ." The IBF have annointed Martin, so they carry the can. Charlie does his best, but he's just not very good.

Because there was nothing accidental, no accidental headbutt, no accidental punch after the bell, nobody entered the ring, the fight was stopped because a fighter couldn't continue, it's like when Duran said no mas, it wasn't because of a punch, it's just that he couldn't\ didn't want to continue.

I have to agree however that that's a bad way to win a title and as soon as Glazkov can fight again he should get a crack at the title no matter who's holding it at the time, some people might think that's even too generous to Glazkov because this was probably a pre existing injury and he went to the fight knowing that he won't be a 100%, but I still think he deserves another shot.

Did Duran say no mas because of a punch? NO, the fight was stopped because a fighter couldn't continue, it doesn't have to be from a punch, if you can't continue and nothing accidental happened you lose by stoppage.

Yes it's not the best way to win a world title and yes Glazkov deserves another shot.

Wilder won the title by beating up the champion for 12 rounds, can't be compared to what Martin did tonight, you can be a fan of Tyson Fury but you don't have to discredit other fighters, they will all fight and the best man will come out on top.
