I thing Jennings would beat him by points if he fights him now. He still needs another tune up IMO, maybe Tony Thompson or Steve Cunningham. Someone who can give him more than half a round.

agree with the sentiments that it has to be a tall genuine super-heavyweight because that is the way the division is going.

He needs to prove he can fight these guys. I picked Fury years ago when they were supposed to fight because David has yet to look that good against a big heavyweight. Even with Audley he was concerned about range and his one sustained attack ended the fight. Of course, when discussing Audley it is always worth reiterating that it was Audley in there and Audley is Audley. Valuev could have got the nod for me in their fight based on doing basically nothing but showing more intent to engage than Haye (similar to Froch/Dirrell), and Klit was actually pretty similar to that Valuev fight in my eyes. Same tactics employed except Haye could jump in and nail Valuev when he wanted to and he had nothing for Wlad.

To date Haye's tactics against the real super heavyweights seems to be to stay out of range and then wait to see if he can banjo them with a big attack and take them out of there. I just don't think that is going to win him a world title again. I am not criticising Haye either he is a smaller guy maybe it is the best use of his gifts.

Wach is a decent shout because if he is to be successful at the level he wants then he would have to soundly both outbox him and knock him out like Povetkin did because in reality Povetkin is just a contender like he wants to be.

I dunno. I like Haye but forced to put my money where my mouth is I am not sure he can win a belt unless some like Glazkov wins one. Size, inactivity, stamina are all issues.

Joshua's team will not get put him in the ring with Haye next so let's just forget about that match-up. Pulev would be perfect IMO.

Haye would be wise to get another tune-up. He got in the moment and made some simple mistakes that a decent HW would make him pay for. He needs to get some rounds in.

I feel he needs another tune up. A step up from his last one, but not a giant step up.
He's been out the ring a long time and tonight's fight wouldn't have shook the cob webs too much.
Another low key fight soon, if that goes well, step up to a contender. Then see where we are for a good, meaningful fight.

He has the draw power to probably reel in the winner of Glazkov-Martin, which could set up unification or a megafight with Joshua.
