Thurman doesn't clinch at all and I'm not sure you can beat Porter by using your legs alone. Thurman doesn't have Kell's jab or right hand, like you said he has better feet and is more mobile, plus he's a better hooker than Kell, but I think the best way to beat Porter is with straight punches, which isn't Thurman's strength. His right hand is very telegraphed and loopy.

I think it's a much closer fight than people are anticipating.

      Tell Paulie Malignaggi that.

Brook only survived because his father is black.

I really don't think this will be a competitive fight. Porter is a strong B level fighter who was reached his peak, I think Thurman is a B+ fighter on the cusp of elite status. Thurman by mid fight stoppage or wide decision.

Thurman is more versatile and skilled... Porter is very awkward and physical and overwhelms guys but he can easily be outboxed if you can handle the pressure, establish a jab and counter Porter as he wades in

It doesn't take much skill to hold when your opponent is known for smothering himself. So again, Thurman doesn't have to push for it, all he has to do is fight his game and when Porter throws those wild shots up close, tie him up.

Also, I'm not necessarily looking at Thurman's straight right, I'm looking at the counter left hook/ counter right uppercut to possibly be the story of the night.

I like Porter's chances, Thurman doesn't hold or fight effectively on the inside. I want Thurman to win though. Quality match-up.

I know it's not difficult to do, but Thurman's mentioned in a few interviews how it's not a part of his game etc, I think it's a pride thing.

But fair enough, Thurman is a good hooker and his uppercuts are sharp as well, although I think Porter is too durable to be stopped by anyone at 147, Thurman can definitely get his respect with some well timed counters.

I see the fight going the distance for sure.

                    Here's how I see it.

Porter puts One Time on the floor two times early, one time late to a easy decision.

                    Or Shawn KO's Thurman early.
You must be a big Porter fan. I don't think Porter's power is that impressive. He's got like 4 KO's in his last dozen fights. I don't think he's gonna KO many elite level caliber guys in their prime in his career. I doubt Porter drops Thurman once let alone 3 times.

With his closeness to his opponent he smothers a lot of his own power. He's still kinda got a amateur slappy type style in a way (imo).
