Universum Box-Promotion has arranged through a regional court in Berlin a court order for IBF heavyweight champion Chris Byrd to stop claiming that Wladimir Klitschko had a chemical substance on his gloves in their October 2000 fight. Byrd and Klitschko, who meet again this weekend, previously fought for the WBO title nearly six years ago with Klitschko winning a lopsided decision by scores of 120-106, 119-107, 118-108, knocking down Byrd twice in the process. Byrd has maintained since 1993 and again this weekend that there was a substance on Klitschko's gloves that made his face swell up, an allegation that is vehemently denied by Universum, Klitschko's promoter at the time.

....I didn't realize he was bringing it up again. I thought he dropped that ****. He never once mentioned it in that long BS interview and gave Wlad full credit for the first fight. He must be schizophrenic.

Without even knowing the details I consider it highly unlikely that Wladimir Klitschko did anything outside of the rules in the 1st fight with Chris Byrd. Usually fighters and their cornermen only engage in such funny business if they're desperate and unscrupulous, like the case of Panama Lewis and Luis Resto:

I think Byrd should shut up about the issue.... once Camp Klit comes out & says the series of conspiracy theories surrounding his loss to Brewster, were incorrect.

Chris Byrd...even though he hails from my area...needs to let that crap go and at the same time when he fights this weekend he needs to let his hands go...Klitchko by KO! with nothing on his gloves but knuckles!

Sorry about that! I was happy just to have a pic of the rock. I don't know what's with those gloves either.

Ya gotta credit the Rock for being able to hold his arms up after 10+ rounds with those gigantic gloves he wore.
