Wishful thinking....if canelo fights golovkn in September canelo will be out the ring for sometime due to the beating he will take ....to me it's sounding like canelo is looking for another route besides golovkin ....probably vacate and fight easier fights

Ummm this statement all but exposes the fact that Canelo will use a ridiculous money split to avoid the Triple G fight...

He plans on fighting 3 bums this year..not sure how he sells a fight with Lemieux after Triple G totally dominated him...

he should fight more. hes very young and should not waste his prime fighting only once or twice a year.

I still wouldn't put it past Canelo to surprise everyone and fight Triple G this year. That's what happened when he fought Erislandy Lara.

But then again, these are two different dudes here. Canelo may feel different about this one. I just know that up until the fight happens, he's going to get hit with numerous questions about it to the point that people will lose interest in all the rest of his fights. Then he'll have no choice.

That's what I think as well...who will really buy his fights if he has blatantly avoided triple GGG for the sake of an easy ride....he done 900 k with cotto that was a joint fight where cotto's draw was just as big as Canelo's and that was always with the intention that if canelo wins he fights his mandatory ...now if he ducks then really a lot of people will not shell out $70 against a nobody knowing the fact he has ducked a fight....a lot of anti golovkin fans don't really give a monkeys ass about canelo really...it's more they just don't golovkin being the top dog in the middlweights ....it's more because ward was forced to move up and mayweather is out the ring and that's why golovkin is enemy number one to them.....

I won't being buying a Canelo fight unless GGG is in it. Canelo did 900k buys because Cotto was in the equation. The PPV buy effect is compounded when to big names are in the mix. Canelo next fight will do significantly smaller numbers because his selection of opponent will not exciting for fans.

I'm already tired of the excuses already. I'm not holding my breath that ginger fights GGG even with the pressure from the fans. Canelo is spooked just like Cotto was!

Yes he should fight GGG at 160 pounds and the sooner the better. He did win the lineal middleweight world title by winning a wide ud over Cotto who is an A level fighter. Don't you agree? Cotto has been offered a rematch with Canelo but he is not interested.
