It's about damn time! Glad to hear this fight was finally announced. This should be a very good fight. This will be a true test for both men.

For Thurman he's finally going to be fighting a fighter at his talent level that will test his abilities. This will be a fight for Thurman to make a huge statement and to prove that he can be the face of a talented division.

As for Porter. This is another title fight. He came up short versus Brook and this will be a good fight to show that he's warranted and deserves more shine.

I look forward to this fight and I'm glad these guys finally came to an agreement.

I am just a little surprised that it's at the Mohegan Sun. But that doesn't matter. 2 of the Top 5 Welterweights in the world are finally going toe to toe.

IMO this has lost much luster...changing date 4 another better event & losing major venue & major network 4 free tv & both guys out of action 4 quite some time ...the winner is still outside looking in...
