I like Wilder but I gotta say that I agree! Fury beat the top dog in the division. Who has Wilder beaten?

Yeah, i'd have Fury over Wilder. I'd have Kovalev up there also.

I'm not in love with Wilder being there but it's frankly not that big a deal.
This forum is filled with emotional women. This thread only proves that.

I'm by no means a Wilder fan but I voted for him in the poll just to piss these fruit cakes off

The recent tunney banning was farcical, is tunney racist? Yes, he's clearly racist, he's been clearly racist for like 5+ years.

But if you are going to ban the dude for that, you need to ban the guys on the other side of the fence who are AS clearly racist as he is.

Personally i don't care who get's banned and who doesn't but show some fairness.

We have a blatent narcissist as an admin on this site who has literally gone insane with "power" since his promotion a few years ago, it's pathetic.

This site has not been the best place to discuss boxing in a LONG time, it just gets the most taffic. The lounge is dead, the history section is dead, the british is dead, the community is dead. most of the best posters have either gone to another site or just got tired of the crap that goes on here.

Somehow the new regime that took over a few years ago has culled the quality by banning most of the legendary posters and increased the quantity of trolls and idiots.

I'll probably be banned for this post but I couldn't care less, i'm more active on other sites but to be honest this has gone from a place i checked several times a day and had people i talked to to something i use to waste time in between more important stuff.
Tunney/Freedom chose to leave. He took his ball and went home because he got disqualified from the Poster of the Year voting, due to having some alts with zero posts voting for him.

The bad news? There seems to either be a horrible mistake, or there was a deliberate BoxingScene agenda driven decision to add Wilder, a lesser fighter, a less popular fighter, a less significant fighter, and a non-champion, as opposed to the HW kingpin Tyson Fury.

Let's be clear, I don't have a problem with Wilder as a boxer, I actually like him, but let's use common sense here: If you are only adding one HW fighter to the tab, it has to be Fury. Heck if both were on the tabs, it wouldn't be as much of an issue, but it's inconsistent, and it's nonsensical. It's like if they replaced Floyd in the old set with someone like Devon Alexander. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

My theory? BoxingScene staff have let their bias, and agenda show here. The only conceivable reason I could see for adding Wilder is that he is based out of the USA, and this (most likely) is a USA based site, but that's not good enough of a reason. In fact, it's pathetic.

Let me also remind you that I am not British, so there is no agenda from my part.

            Let the people speak!

I say we use this unofficial petition to make things right.

BoxingScene / NSB has to maintain objectivity and be free of biases, or it will quickly lose credibility and respect, and as a long time member of this proud community, and what I consider the undisputed boxing site of the world, it's time to make a stand. A stand for what's right.

            What say you!?
TBH, Crawford shouldn't be up there either but whatever. I voted for Fury though.

At the end of the day, it's just pictures.

It's more like the United Colors of Boxing than the best boxers.

I could see arguments made both ways for Crawford as well.

I'd be more concerned with the 4000 pop ups that riddle my iPad every time I try to check the forums...taking me to the App Store then some random website that I don't want to be on....

Who the fk cares what pics are up

It's not that big a deal for me. The old site had Sergio Martinez and Ricky Hatton on there for years, Calzaghe I think as well. It's hardly likely that anyone's going to look at the pics and come to the conclusion that that makes Wilder a better fighter than Fury, and if they do then that's a pretty pathetic individual indeed.

Anyway, as a Fury fan I've become used to being slapped in the face on a regular basis. Not getting recognition or accolades has become par for the course really.
