After Chanet has beat Tsypko. He was supposed to be the next mandatory to Kessler, but Chanet's manager has decided against taking that chance

The WBA are just as bad as the IBF, and Kessler is #3 in the division if you ask me, Lacy and Calzaghe are both ahead of him.. he's tall, that's it.. one name, Mario Veit, it's not like Calzaghe's not used to fighting tall guys, infact this guy has 2 and a half inches on Kessler, Mario Veit was huge in his hometown, everybody thought he was the next big thing, the same is being said for Kessler, he's tough.. but only because the SMW division is weak.. being #3 in todays super middleweight division isn't an accomplishment if you ask me.

          We just gotta see.

IMO Lacy will be back and take control of SMW like Hopkins with MW I have a feeling with this just see Lacy next fight. I bet you will be impressed

About Kessler’s opponents there is just to say that he took his title from Ring’s no. 2 at the time and defended it abroad against Ring’s no. 3 at the time – is that not strong competition

Kessler would be a stylistic nightmare for Calzaghe. Quick powerful hands and a safe cautious style with the best jab of the SMW. It is almost impossible to win a fight against Kessler on points and I doubt that Calzaghe would be able to stop Kessler. Kessler is also much physical stronger than Calzaghe, so Joe would not be able to bully Kessler around as he did against Lacy

Kessler seems like a good boxer, but you are totally exaggerating how good he is. Kesller has not really beaten anyone worth mentioning, but Joe Calzaghe has beaten:

                Chris Eubank (vacant WBO title)
                Byron Mitchell (former WBA champion)
                Robin Reid (former WBC champion)
                Charles Brewer (former IBF champion)
                Jeff Lacy (IBF champion)
