Comments Thread For: Not Pound for Pound…Champ for Champ 2015

By Cliff Rold - This Saturday, two of boxing's ten best heavyweights will be in action in the same city, both competing for belts on the same card.

Deontay Wilder and Czar Glazkov won't be fighting each other because boxing is silly that way.

Great article and great concept. No complaints from me about the list or order.

        What a depressingly truthful article.

Here's hoping 2016 is better and not worse. It's really hard to be a boxing fan anymore.

I think Kameda kicked McDonell's ass twice. Especially in the rematch. GGG has only fought at Middleweight and he hasn't exactly fought the who's who of the division. I think they're terrified of GGG and that's the problem. All of these so called contenders are a bunch of pretenders, but that's boxing today. Stay undeafeated taking the easy road then get a World Title and defend it against easy competition. Middleweight is one of the weakest divisions in boxing. Saul Alvares and Billy Joe Saunders aren't real World Champions. A real World Champion is willing to prove he's the best against and doesn't fear any opponent. With Fake World Champions like Alvares and Saunders openly ducking GGG, it makes Middleweight a joke. Roman Gonzalez moved up to Flyweight and the toughest fight he's had is against Francisco Rodriguez. Rodriguez was taking Gonzalez's shots and hitting him right back. This fight was fought at a very quick pace then it was wrongfully stopped. Now Gonzalez only fights old men. I can't wait until he's battered by Inoue or gets completely out boxed by Carlos Cuadras.

Gotta agree with the concept of the list and some of the names on there, although the write ups weren't entirely correct. It's a good effort but it also reflects modern boxing, where we have may be 3 or 4 fights between champions per year most of which are shown on PPV only. It's a sad state of affairs.

Best fighters are GGG-Canelo-Kovalev and Fury

Boxing has some good talent with skilled fighters who actually fight and not talk all the time and do little. GGG-Canelo-Kovalev and Fury have proven to be true champions who back up their actions with wins and fight anyone. Pugs like Ward and Stevenson and Wilder and Thurman-Kell Brook-abraham-broner-Khan-Garcia are nothings who talk big fight small and are boring. It's not hard to see what fighters are actually fighters and are great. Fans know the truth.

Very hard to disagree with this. Lots of disappointments at the moment with just a few high spots.

Frampton - Quigg is a great match up and if the winner takes on Rigondeaux then we really have something.

Degale had a good year and if he takes on Badou Jack (as touted) he will be right up in contention too.

Stephenson could be considered if he takes on (and beats) Kovalev. It would be an awesome shock if Ward - Stephenson got made before Ward - Kovalev. Imagine Ward's stock coming right back up then.
