UK fighters need to get away from Eddie Hearn

He's good at building up a name, but after that he's worthless and is losing fighters big money. Brook is making scraps fighting bums when he should be making millions in America, Joshua should be an international star by now and fighting on big PPV undercards overseas.

Look at what happened to Luke Campbell who was going to be one of the biggest names in boxing because of poor promoting.

The only person he really helped was Froch but he already was a name before Eddie got to him. It's only when he took a risk (Bute) that he got Froch to were he ended up.

Like I said previously. Stick with Hearn for the first few fights to get the name out there but ditch the ****er when you start getting belts.

**** talent like Bellew and Brian Rose can stay with him though.

I don't think he's good at building fighters. Hennessey & Warren built most of his stable. He's good at pinching developed fighters. AJ is treading water & will be for another 12-18 mths. Only deviation is if Hearn spots an opportunity to cash in with a risk or easy title shot.

Brooks career post Porter is his own fault. He got stabbed in the leg when he was out partying (was in another dudes house late at night, questionable...who he didn't really know iirc), came back and fought his mandatory in the summer. Hearn wants a Khan fight but Khan isn't giving them that. He had a decent fight lined up vs Diego Chaves but then got reinjured, ****ed up his PPV and ruined that fight. He's choosing to fight his mandatory now so he can free up the summer for a big fight. The IBF are strict when it comes to mandatories but I want to see him vs Khan, Brook/Porter winner or one of the other top dogs at 147. Brook is likely moving to 154 soonish anyway imo.

He's done well with AJ. He's becoming a big name in the UK, and not just someone boxing fans will have heard of.

          So was audley Harrison.
The Olympics built AJ more than Hearn did imo

ukbox has valid points. Saying that with the potential/marketability AJ has anyone cold have success promoting him.

The biggest advantage Hearn has going for him is an exclusive contract with Sky which essentially blacklists any other promoter.

Yes. AJ is being moved exactly as he should be at this point in his career. No reason whatsoever to fast track him.

Get away from the promoter with biggest platform and the best connections (works with several US promoters and Sauerland).

                Smart bidness.

Hearn isnt perfect but he is easily the best promoter to be with in the UK
