Comments Thread For: David Haye Beefs Up With Mass For Long Awaited Return

David Haye has attempted to reinvent himself as a fighter in the hope of making a successful comeback.

The former WBA heavyweight champion on Saturday fights the little-known Mark de Mori three-and-a-half years after his last appearance, when he stopped Dereck Chisora in five rounds in July 2012.

we are supposed to believe that this guy and a lot more guys are not on PED's and just taking flintstone vitamins and drinking malteds that make a 35 year old guy that takes off years look like a winner in a body building contest

More weight on his ailing toe? - probably not the best idea....
I must admit I am interested to see what he fights like. maybe he'll at least win a few fights and create some drama in this new and more entertaining era of Heavyweights...

3 years out of professional training is the real reason for his changed physique , he isn't kidding anyone. Sure he's worked out a lot, hit the gym hard but redeveloping that form and being truly top level fighting fit is hard won, we know that, he knows that.
It's near impossible to bet against him vs De Mori but I'm curious to see what he performs like after this hiatus. He certainly has pop, but wether he has maintained the rest of the skills required to deliver it, remains to be seen.
Surely a few paydays lie ahead of him regardless of his form, as unpopular as he is, he has a recognisable name and is therefore sellable to some extent, and there is no way he'll turn down the kind of cash he can make from boxing. I for one, think we'll see him fighting on as long as he can keep himself at whatever he personally thinks is an acceptable level.
