hatton uses his elbows like tyson used to. when mike would get inside he would use his elbows to lift up his opponents chin and then tee off on it. good use of more than just fists in order to take an advantage.

            Problem is:

Hatton actually fights. There's a huge difference see....there are too many nancys that pick and chose shots.

Hatton goes in there to do his job. Sometimes when these guys actually fight....things happen.

That always turns into a "problem".

sure he did, he would push fools back with his elbows and then break them down.
i personally thought it was a great idea, when he would get frustrated by a taller guy clinching so he threw those elbows up to get him off and then beat them down with his fists.

he did it a lot and most of the guys he fought early in his career would complain about it. it wasnt like he would throw elbows in an attempt to hit the guys with them but he would push them off with his forearms and elbows in order to break the clinch so he could throw punches again when he got inside. i cant think of any fights off hand right now but if you watch some of the older tyson fights closely when he is pressing his opponents into the ropes and they try to clinch on him you can see how he tries to push them off with his elbows and i think that helped him to open them up to some of his combos.
