I like both Fury and Wilder.

Wilder won a bronze for the US in the Olympics, and he represents this nations best shot at the moment of having the top guy in the HW division in my eyes.

It seems to me some weird phenomenon where pulling for somebodies fellow countryman is seen as a bad or ignorant thing these days. Maybe it's because of my age that I find that line of thinking odd.

Wilder is great entertainment, boxing needs both of these guys, but you will never hear me speak of them on the same level, I would never entertain the idea that Wilder has more than a punchers chance against Fury. Fanboys hear unbiased observations and they don't know what to do with themselves, they go crazy. It doesn't compute. Their heads explode like in the movie Mars Attacks.

        - Its fun reading post's like this.., Bottom line is that both nations have produced alot of world class fighters, And in my book anyone who is willing to step into the squared circle demands respect, and someone who dominates in that squared circle...is something special. I dont have any hate towards fighters from Mexico, but when its PR vs Mexico I have to go with PR, thats the home team.

          mexico does.

however, per capita, PR is a crazy productive boxing country.

for perspective, more than twice as many people live in mexico city than the entire island of puerto rico.

mexico by a stretch in terms of the volume of champions. i think it would make an interesting thread to pick the best mexican and puerto rican fighters of each weight class, and then pick the winner of a fantasy fight between the two.

me personally i think salvador sanchez and juan manuel marquez is the best mexican fighter ive seen chavez sr lost fights when he stepped up in comp they awarded him the draw or victory
                felix trinidad
miguel cotto(the first latino i believe to win titles in 4 different weight classes)
                wilfred benitez
just my humble opinion but to ME tho i'd say felix trinidad is MY personal fav fighter bc he has the longest reign of any welterweight
