    Barrera-Fana Deal Looks Good

The planned April 19 title defense of Marco Antonio Barrera against No. 1 contender Mzonke Fana of South Africa looks good according to Fana’s manager and well-known promoter Branco Malenkovic. [details]

Barrera-Fana will not sell. It should be an easy & safe fight for MAB after a gruelling fight with his nemesis EMorales. If he doesn't fight his mandatory and drops his green WBC belt in the trash bin, that would create some problems. Like, what's the use of being ranked by the ABC bodies now? Are they still in control of boxing or HBO?

Amen to that, screw the WBC and fight the best possible opponent. (JM Marquez comes to my mind)

Technical "chess-game" kind of fights bores you? I guess, you didn't enjoy Hopkins-de la Hoya too.

Barrera-JMMarquez would be interesting, it will settle the question "Who's the better technical fighter?" Fans will pay to see that fight.

That title don't suit a fight between two mexican warriors.

I'm a fan of both technically-gifted fighters, so I'm just intrigued as to who is just the better technical fighter. A question running in my head that can only be answered if they do finally fight each other.

If they do actually fight, what's the appropriate title then m00ks?
