    Popo vs Rahim

    This fight could be awesome.

I'm really looking forward to it. I think alot of fans are overlooking it. Both guys have something to prove.

I think if Rahim fights the way he did against Morales, he will outbox Freitas easily.

    What do you guys think?

It's a tough one to call.I don't know which is the real Zahir
Raheem. The one against Morales or the one against Juarez? But I
tend to feel that Raheem won't look that good again. The way he
did against Morales.Im favoring Freitas by a TKO.

Popo should stay away from pure boxers with good handspeed. Z-man is at his natural weight. He makes Popo look like a sloth. I am a huge Popo fan...but I have been following Rahim since he was training here in Tulsa..and...I think all Frietas has is a punchers chance.

I agree. If Rahim is motivated, he's hard to beat.

Topic starter has a good point.

I don't think this fight will be the least bit dull. As a matter of fact....expect a knockout.

I've stated that I'm picking Raheem by late stoppage, simply because if he lands the exact same punches he did on Morales....Freitas will be in trouble.

I'd love to see Freitas win however, but it could be a great match.

                  don't like Rahim's style

I saw the Eric Morales vs. Zahir Raheem fight and I immediately didn't like Rahim's style. He's fast and has some boxing skills, but he's a bit like Pernell Whitaker in that he frustrates opponents rather than dominating them. He doesn't fight much on the inside but prefers to clinch, which I'm sick of in the fight game today.

I know that Freitas ran a lot in the Corrales fight but he didn't clinch when Corrales caught him, and usually is a lot more aggressive than that. In my opinion he had the wrong fight plan against Corrales and should have stood his ground like the way Jose Luis Castillo did. Freitas can punch. In my opinion he will bounce back and beat Rahim, although it might be a frustrating fight to watch, with Rahim running and pecking away, landing soft, harmless flurries in an attempt to impress the judges. I hope that Freitas catches him and unloads on him, but we'll just have to see.

You're in the same boat as me friend.

Thing is....the drama could come from Freitas' side. He could be down on points and maybe catch Raheem.

You never know.....and you're right on the money....I don't like that ***** style.

But he does land hard...clean shots. Mainly when he decides to actually fight like a man.
