Sanchez could've matched with with sog and hunter. Unfortunately GGGs handlers didn't want the Ward fight.

Correction, GGG got tired of waiting and moved on ending up formulating a better plan that didn't include attaching themselves to an unreliable fighter who hasn't even been able to do the tune ups.

A chance at multiple MW champs, and a huge PPV.

      Or

Attach yourself to a fighter who no one knows if he actually intends on fighting, for a fraction of the notoriety and purse.

I can't imagine why team GGG deemed Ward a dead end.

Why wasn't he motivated when the opponent for Ward could have been GGG?

But heck, those facts don't fit with our agenda, so let's just ignore them, yeah?

They used the excuse that Ward "doesn't make financial sense."

So Team GGG could have had a fight for legacy, for matching wits with a future Hall of Famer....but they turned it down because they care more about being businessmen than about being legendary fighters.

That's their choice and they're entitled to it. It is what it is.

There is a reason that, Ward whom we like is taking lesser fights !

Go and Google Wards net worth and for all he has done in Oakland he has just 2 mill !!!!

A fighter with the prestige thrown about him , a p4p fighter with only 2mill??? And he wants the bigger part of the pie with GGG hahahahahaha! GGG s net worth according to Google is 19 mill

Ward has never been a ppv fighter, he has to look good not boring !!!

Kovalev's name begins with KO and he wifi KO Ward and same with GGG !!

I know nothing of Barrera so we shall see

Maybe, just maybe, team g string deemed Ward a dead end because down deep they don't believe he can beat Ward.

I don't think he was confident that GGG could beat Ward and would want an astronomical amount for he and GGG if it happened.

Had they fought Im sure it would have been GGG's biggest payday....Ward is more established than any fighter campaigning now at 160-168....it would've did a lot for GGG recognition

I honestly don't think he wanted to upset the applecart and wasn't confident GGG would beat Ward like he ran through those caliber of guys
