Ward afraid of Barrera's confidence? Twitter reads: "First to beat Ward and Kovalev"

Barrera seems like a very confident man. I am not sure why though as he hasn't really beaten anyone.

Why the hell is Ward afraid of a fighter on this level?

Ward is quickly becoming Peter Quillin 2.0 in his behaviour. He's acting like he's the number one boxer in the world when the majority of boxing fans view him as a bit of a sad joke.

Ward is one of my favorite fighters I'm trying to be patient with him but he needs to fight a decent opponent if it's not Barrera than make it Fonfara. This **** is getting out of hand now he needs to fight someone already

How do you rate Barrera's chances? Do you believe Ward is doubting his own ability? Possibly he has declined in his period of inactivity?

I'm pretty sure Ward is just looking to coast to a big payday (maybe the Kovalev fight) then take his money and run regardless of the outcome of that fight.

He has said to interviewers boxing is no longer the main part of his life and he just doesn't have that fire in him anymore. Just cashing in now.

It's his fans (or people who hate one particular fighter) who have kind of forcefed his imminent takeover to us while he's been semi-retired.

Why the Barrera announcement, which is apparently false now (?) surprised me is because it doesn't fit into these plans. Barrera is nothing special but he's a bit risky if you're just looking for a final payday. Fat campless Paul Smith was more of a fit. Ward just wants to survive until he finds the pot of gold, not start his run from scratch.

The inactivity always hurts boxers. I don't know much about Barrera but I like the way he is going about business I'm curious to see what he has when he faces guys like Ward or Kovalev If I'm Ward I'm taking the fight I would take on all of Abel Sanchez boxers to shut him the **** up

Ward vs Perriban (whos really a 16lb fighter) and is absolutely nothing special and poses no surprises sounds more fitting of a Ward type of fight.

If he doesn't fight Barrera he should fight somebody just as good. This is the guy who can't stop trashing GGG and insults him by calling little g. GGG fights 3 or 4 top 10 middleweights every year while Ward has fought only 2 very average fighters in over 3 years. Who the hell is he to trash GGG. Jealousy and bitter envy are not good traits for the son of God.

Pac most certainly does NOT equal Duran. Duran beat a prime SRL, who has Pacquiao beat that was on SRL's level? You should consider a name change.
