Maybe because a loss vs Barrera would put the Kovalev fight in jeopardy

Same reason he has been looking for ultra soft competition since he joined with Roc Nation. I'll believe the Kovalev fight when it's actually signed for and scheduled. Barrera may not be that much, but he's a lot more than Alexander Brand or Paul Smith.

That's not how top level fighters think.

          Barrera isn't that good anyway.

            Not looking good.
Man **** Ward. If this fight falls through I'm done with him.

Dude wants to be a superstar but doesn't want what comes with it. When you fight superstars you get paid big. Pac, Floyd, Canelo, Oscar all did this.

But he's not bad either.a loose loose situation for ward.a win doesn't gain him much and a loss would take his precious 0

                Everybody just talking shit beforehand.

If Ward is fighting on HBO, he'd still have to get an opponent approved by them.

                  He's a decent fighter.

The point is top level fighters don't think 'what if I lose?'...that's one of the reasons they're at the top.

He's now saying that Barrera isn't going to get rich off of him. Smh pathetic!

Don't agree on that today's fighters do much more thinking, calculating, talking and ducking than fighting.remember how much time it took to make May vs Pac?
