Comments Thread For: Frank Warren on Saunders Facing Golovkin, Canelo, More

BILLY JOE SAUNDERS looks set for a huge 2016 as the offers keep rolling in for the WBO middleweight champion.

I will sit down with him next week to outline his path in what looks set to be a thrilling year for him.

We have already had three offers for his next fight and will discuss which one is best to take.

I seriously doubt it, never heard anything about Canelo wanting to fight Saunders. Only names that have been mentioned are Rosado and Monroe. Saunders is awkward and i dont think Canelo would be able to look good against him, its a risky fight.

Saunders took part in the worst and most boring MW championship fight in the last 10 years, he is just lucky to have won that belt since Lee couldnt pull the trigger and was even worse that night.

Canelo vs Saunders is a good testing the waters fight for Canelo. I wanted to see him vs Lee/Saunders or Lemiuex as his first fight to see where he is at versus MW's, how good he would win. If Canelo-Saunders can get made that would be great for Canelo, he'd get another title and a win over a MW.

Well Frank Warren wrote this article himself, he would not lie about such a thing. Now if this was written by Bob Arum then i'd probably agree with you.

Makes sense. Canelo wants to do a ppv fight in the new Las Vegas arena, what better way than to have some Brits show up to kick it off with a MW title unification. Canelo following in the footsteps of Dela Hoya who fought WBO MW champ - Felix Sturm prior to fighting Hopkins.

lol at Saunders being a huge name in America. I don't think it was even broadcast there.

Saunders is quick n sharp, he'd outbox canelo n make him look silly until canelo uses his 25lb extra weight to wear him down! Canelo is brutal if you stand in front of him but he can't handle movement. Ggg would corner bjs by the 5th n brutalise him.... Styles make fights
