Diaz shouldn't gain that much weight in between the weigh in and the fight.
He didn't look fat, but bigger than usual. He was breathing kind of hard in some rounds. He was 139. He should be like 135-136. I'm not an expert, just an observation.
Probably should gain a little bit less weight. Or maybe Velez just made him work harder thus making Diaz taking longer breaks. I just thought he looked slower than usual. He won the fight comfortably though.
That's why these fights are for to test himself physically and mentally. He can even see at what weight he feels comfortable on fight night.
I can't wait for Diaz vs. Valdez. Hopefully they don't wait ten years to make that fight. They could always have a rematch.
