Sparring does not win fights just talent being better

Guerrero isn't getting better with sparring and that is a bunch of Bull. Guerrero is limited skill wise at 147lbs with little power and is quite slow and so easy to hit. With Rueben in the corner Guerrero gets no good advice between rounds and is hampered by that. Garcia is the better fighter and will be better prepared by Angel. Garcia on points in a decision 116-112

I dont think the problem is Guerreros sparring per se but I have heard its way harder to get good sparring in NoCal than in SoCal. But anyways, Guerreros biggest problem in his career has been his inactivity. Just now Guerrero realized he needs to be more active but he shouldve realized that before he fought Thurman. Im not saying Guerrero wouldve beat Thurman if he was more active but he wouldve accounted for himself way better. Given Guerreros style at 147, he needed to stay active to keep his timing and range on point but being active now after getting his chin cracked is doing him no favors. I also hope he quit that Crossfit ****, that stuffs for B-level MMA fighters.

Did he really expect to be elite with his cholo gang member father as a trainer?

He's a nice guy and all but man is it ever time to reconsider who your trainer is. John David Jackson or Hunter would help him use his size a bit better than his dad does and both i'm sure would be welcoming of him. Robert doesn't have as much pop in this division as he had and his "chin" will eventually be cracked for good if he keeps trying to fight like he's the smaller man which he isn't. Use some range, learn to take more than two steps at a time, and learn to take away the punches that have been hurting you..then again it's unlikely at this point he'll change anything and will be happy just to get paid a million bucks to fight whoever pbc lines him up against.

him and danny both need to leave their dads, theyve taken them pretty damn far on their own

And who's fault is bad sparring? Him his dad fake trainer manager? Maybe not paying? It's your life on the line your responsabilty to get in best shape possible especially coming off losses. It's not just sparring its what your learning while sparring. Father did all he could needs real trainer and is not strong enough for welter.

He denies it, but his Guerrero Sr has an 0-7 pro record. Despite his alleged self proclaimed 2 million - 0 street fighting record, what's he possibly going to teach about Boxing?
