    As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, the World Boxing Association will remove Floyd Mayweather Jr. from his position as the reigning world champion at welterweight and junior middleweight. Mayweather retired last September after winning a twelve round unanimous decision over Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

        Haymon trying to secure Danny an easy path to a title, I see. They don't care as much about Thurman being promoted to "super" champion, because they already call him a champion on their pathetic broadcasts now, despite him only having a "regular" (see: not real) title. This would have given them another quote/unquote "champion".

                  Good decision by Mendoza. Thurman is gonna be elevated which I really don't like but at least he'll have to prove it against a game porter. I have him winning a difficult fight.
