These lawsuits go on for years, its basically a way for the legal people involved to get paid by stretching out these cases as long as possible.

The only people who are going to make money from this is the lawyers. Money that could have been spent making fights is now going down the drain from both sides.

I still cannot figure out how Top Rank can claim they suffered Damages due to the PBC. It is not like Top Rank got froze out of anything except for the occasional espn Friday night fights thingie. Top Rank had plenty of opportunities to move to free tv themselves. In fact Arum talked about it years ago but never took the leap as it was too easy collecting big purses from HBO.

Goldenboy might have some meat in their lawsuit if they can prove they were undermined by Haymon. I think their lawsuit against Schaefer was the proper direction in that though, and Goldenboy cancelled that lawsuit.

Wouldn't it be freaky, that is Top Rank won, and the Judge decreed "Al Haymon has to pay the plaintiff Top Rank X amount of dollars", then a defense lawyer says:

"Ummm Judge, there is no Al Haymon, no such person truly exists"

Judge: "What do you mean he does not exist? Even though he did now show up in court, we saw those 3 or 4 loose pictures of him"

People been downplaying these lawsuits but ever since golden boy won the first round in court and the judge denied haymons motion to kick it back to the arbitration from the Schaefer lawsuit I said this doesn't look good for haymon and that he will be forced to open up his books. Now arum lawsuit is moving forward as well. Haymon is gonna cut a check to golden boy that's the most dangerous lawsuit because they worked with him in the past and have insider knowledge on how he works. But arum might get a big check too. The end game is Haymon will have to decide if he wants to be a manager or promoter. Right now we all know he is doing both which is clear violation of the Ali Act.

This lawsuit was already lost lIke last year wasnt it? There is no way they can prove PBC has prevented them from operating within a free market. If you can't prove Haymon has prevented you from operating within the industry, you don't have a lawsuit.

i just read the lance piece and it doesn't say anything close to what you got out of it. lol. it says that petrocelli can't wait to get his hands on the evidence that haymon has to turn over
