Would it be better if GGG lost?

There's no denying that GGG poses a formidable threat right now and everyone is scared ****less of him.

Wouldn't it be better for him to win a few fights on decision or take a loss just to give other belt holders a false sense of security instead of being ducked all the time.

      People aren't afraid of him.

People just want a lot of money to fight him. More than GGG and his team are willing to put up.

I mean it's practically guaranteed you're gonna lose and get knocked out and get your career put on halt.

We're people scared of Mayweather? Of course not. Because everybody got their biggest payday when they fought him. Those guys probably knew they were gonna lose, but the money was worth it.

Now if Mayweather DIDN'T pay them that substantial amount of money... You think people would still want to take the L for way less?? Probably not.

Boxing is a business. Everybody wants to make money.

Or do you still play make believe where money doesn't matter?

Agree with the last guy. I don't think there is nearly as much fear running around in professional boxing as some fans think. I think there is much more getting value for your risk. And GGG is still one of those guys who's too good for what he's worth to fight. Lotsa mfers like this out there to varying degrees. I think Thurman was like that for awhile. Floyd was one of those guys back in the day (thats why Oscar & Shane didn't wanna fight him when Floyd was calling them out & rightfully so). Lotsa current or past top guys have been in this spot when they were a bad mfer, but still not commanding giant purses. Its just kinda how boxing work with how the business of boxing is setup.

Agree 100%. Been trying to explain this to people who claim GGG is ducked. I like to use Mike Tyson as an example because he was more feared than GGG is today. But never had trouble getting opponents because they got paid well. I heard Tyson's team was known for paying sparring partners more than anyone else.

            Agree with this guy.

To the OP, a loss would be a disaster right now as it would give fighters even more of an excuse not to fight him and he would lose a lot of his momentum.

Yeah of course, everybody has their price. Saunders is likely passing on GGG offer that's 5x what hes making next. You can tell some are **** scared, whether during ring walk, or after round 1 etc.

Risk reward! Big risk, demands big rewards.
I want Jacobs to fight him. I want Canelo to fight him. Floyd taught a lot of boxers about the business of boxing. Get paid. Make sure you get paid.

I get tired of seeing or reading about fighters dying broke, and alone. That is messed up!

                Get paid!
