I don't know why but it pisses me off in all these articles they say "he suffered a torn rotater cuff during the fight with Mayweather jr" It was before! He even asked for a danm shot for Christ sake.

A few days ago, Pacquiao apparently told Philboxing.com that he was willing to postpone his retirement - if a rematch with Mayweather could be secured.

He spoke to the same website on Monday and denied making those statements.

"I never said that, nobody spoke to me about that. After my fight on April 9th, I'm going to retire from boxing," Pacquiao told the outlet. “
I guess that also means that he didn't say Floyd was the best in this era, something a certain group of people were so happy to hear. Too bad for them. lol

If he retires, good for him. People on here like to call him old, but it's easy to forget that at 37, the guys is worth 10's of millions and never has to work another day in his life.
I can not even imagine how great of a feeling it must be to be in the prime of life and be set for life.
          But let's be real:
          1) bob will make sure that pac loses if this goes to a decision
          2) he only has an elementary school education, is too ****** to know he's a puppet (as a boxer & a politician), has a house full of kids, and is married to a woman who will divorce him when his star fades and take half his loot.

They say hindsight is 20/20. Foresight is often the same.
Pac will be fighting into his 40's in all likelihood

            Agreed.

It's biased writing. The writer needs to avoid bias.

            Basics of Avoiding Bias
Writers should write objectively and inclusively to receive respect and trust from readers, as well as to avoid alienating readers. To be objective means to write with curiosity, rather than having a preset opinion, and to engage with research, rather than presenting a personal preference.

Being objective in your writing is a skill that you will develop, just like your academic voice. Though having a passion for your topic makes the writing process easier, it is important not to let it take over your draft. Here are some tips for keeping objectivity and eliminating bias.

The writer clearly said his opinion, not fact. He also said his personal preference about the shoulder situation. He prefers the story that Pacquiao tore his rotator cuff during the fight rather than before, to take away a bit from the win. Also being too sympathetic towards Pacquiao, which is another issue that writers should correct.

Now i'm not a writer/journalist myself, i'm just doing some constructive criticism, but this website I Iinked does touch on issues that some writers on Boxingscene should read over and apply to their articles. I admit I looked up this website because of your post though. I was curious to know what type of writing is that called, but it makes sense, I knew it had something to do with bias.

Poor Manny. Looks like ArScum is gonna have to pull out the "tax error" trick again after this fight. You know, the one where Bob intentionally doesn't withhold the proper amounts on several fights then drops a 20 million dollar tax bill on Manny that can only be paid by fighting again.
