Yeah i'd go along with that. I actually always felt Hatton would win anyway but like i said, if he doesn't then it's damaging.

This is actually where Khan is deluded though. Hatton has a huge legion of fans, he was extremely popular and obviously had a lot more people to let down if he lost. He had much bigger fights out there than Witter really, Witter wasn't a big name but was a good fighter. There was much better money fights out there for Hatton so you could understand it was good business sense to go after the money.

In Khan's case, he isn't as popular as he thinks anymore, his star has faded. I'd say in the UK, Brook might possibly be the more popular fighter if this took place. There's also no other big fights out there for him anymore. He needs to realise he needs Brook if he's going to score a huge payday. Brook is the champion, arguably more popular and the champion. I'm sure they need each other but Khan needs to stop thinking he doesn't need Brook if he's going to prove anything or make big money, he does need him. He's bordering on becoming irrelevant now so i don't know why he's giving crazy interviews like this acting like he has the power Mayweather in terms of the business. He might get paid more than Brook if they fight, but that's only to get him into the ring, apart from that he has no real claims to be the "A side" in this fight at all anymore.

How ****in old is this footage? This is over a year old

Khans in the US right now

I find it funny how these old stories and videos are popping up from nowhere and being passed off as new news, first the Barry Hearn interview and now this

Seems like Hearn and co are trying desperately to throw a spanner in the works. Khan and Hearn are suppose to meet his month to finalize the fight.

Hearn wants to piss Khan off, and then he can point the finger and say Khan didnt want the fight.

All these old stories are popping up out of nowhere conveniently, i guess Brook would rather just spend the next 2 years fighting bums and using Khans name for promotion.

He's not necessarily scared to fight him, but losing to him would be the worst blow of his career due to how big the fight will be. If he had lost to Mayweather or Pac, so what. But imagine losing to Brook, your rival countryman on a MASSIVE stage probably at Wembley. He would be finished in the eyes of the public and Brook would be the golden boy. By not fighting him he can still raise that doubt and argument that he's better without needing to prove it, he knows plenty will side with him.

He could go and lose to a bum and it still wouldn't be as bad as loosing to Brook because that fight will have the casual fans and general public who all know Khan's name tuning in.

That's why there's a massive doubt this fight happens. The only way Khan fights is if he gets an insane amount of money and in reality it's his biggest payday out there but he'll want to be paid even more handsomely incase he gets flattened on such a big stage. I'm sure he believes he might be able to win, but he obviously has a big doubt about it too.

I always felt this is the case if Floyd and Manny. I don't think either guy was scared to physically be in the ring with the other guy, but losing an event on that scale with the world watching after years of talk of who's the best is a huge blow.
This video is from last summer.

Yeah and if Khan doesn't fight him, Kell will go on to fight another bum and that is no exaggeration. Except it will only be Khan who will be criticized for not giving Kell a pay day.

The best thing about Pacquiao fighting Bradley is that means all of Khan's options are now very limited with no real big name for the big cash,so that leaves Brook as his only relevant future opponent. If Khan turns this fight down then i have no doubt he fears Kell Brook.

IF they do fight,i have Brook winning by stoppage.Khan knows very well that his career is at risk facing big punchers. He knows damn well another ko defeat means away into obscurity for the lad.

Why are people still talking about this Never Was? A Mere Con never was a more appropriate title than today.

First off, that video of Amir is very old.

But I do hope Khan doesn't give the fight. It would be hilarious. Brook hasn't fought even C competition, outside of a single fight.

We know Khan is Brooks only career goal, and considering the fact Brook hasn't done anything but fight bums, it is good if Khan doesn't give him a fight.

I'll be respectful and reserve judgment until Khan either takes the Brook fight or avoids it again. But it's real hard, because he has spent 3 years acting like a ****ing b*tch.

Then again, that makes him no different than 95% of the welterweight division, including Brook.

Khan should be desperate to fight Kell imo.

Big money fight, so a nice fat payday for him, and if he beats Brook, he's the first man to beat him, gains himself a strap and is then in a position to bait the likes of Mayweather/Manny out of retirement.

It's a win win for him. Perhaps he's worried about Kell knocking him out, but Khan has never come across as a coward to me, i honestly believe that he thinks he can beat anyone.
