Comments Thread For: James DeGale Must Face Jose Uzcategui By February 26

As James DeGale continues envision a dream 2016 campaign, the reigning International Boxing Federation (IBF) super middleweight titlist is reminded of the reality that awaits his immediate future.

Following two straight fights on North American soil, DeGale and his team are keen on returning home to the United Kingdom for his next ring appearance. It’s not an unreasonable request – only that it will have come in a mandatory defense versus Jose Uzcategui.

Sounds like a good homecoming fight for DeGale. Still can't believe how easy the Ooze-cat blew out the Chef.

Good fight. Uzcategui looked legit against Jackson. Didn't know he was with Haymon tho. Damn GGG can't move up or down without being surrounded by Haymon fighters

That is a tough spot for Degale he would have a lot of expectations and be facing a tough unknown guy who might have that determination advantage that would make his on/off effort costly.

i can see degale being lax in this one then again i could see him not being that either..
im not going to give uzcat all this credit for ko'ing that julian jackson son..i mean u can just look at that kid and tell he doesnt belong in a boxing ring..i dont think he'll ever get back in the ring again and he shouldnt...yea gettin ko'd can be a learning experience and it can also be a sign of more ko's to come..his limited skills tell me it leans more toward sign of things to come side

Never heard of this Uzcat fella, that's a tough sell in the UK, people are coming round to DeGale but he's hardly a star and he'll be fighting a complete unknown.
