Comments Thread For: Abraham-Ramirez Talks Intensify as Purse Bid Looms

Negotiations have intensified for the mandatory fight between WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (44-4, 29 KOs) of Germany and mandatory challenger Gilberto Ramirez (33-0, 24 KOs) of Mexico.

The World Boxing Organization has ordered both sides to reach a deal or head to a purse bid on January 8th.

I say is a good fight, Ramirez has many holes in his game, and Abraham has the mental toughness to exploit them, now Ramirez needs to prove he is a real deal in the division and by beating king Arthur would do just that.

Zurdo hasn't stop anyone for a while, but he's got a good chance of doing it here. He's got a good engine, goes to the body hard and often, and decent enough chin. Abe can't fight at that pace

You gotta go to the champ.
          The champ is in Germany.

Abe is not gonna go to the U.S because he will get robbed especially when Bob Arum and HBO involved. Ramirez needs to go there and proves he is the real deal, but he is not Kovalev so its gonna be tough

AA won't leave Germany ..Ramirez will not be able to use this height/ reach , he seldom does & that will leave him subject to Abraham's hard punching both 2 the body & head ...probably will go the distance but I can't see Ramirez beating him unless he catches him early...

Zurdo needs to go to Germany.
He can prove he's a force by going to Germany and KO Abraham there. If he gets robbed his stock won't go down since most would expect it anyway

Plus Abraham is the champ and the guy puts butts in seats in Germany.
                Go to Germany Zurdo!

This would be a good co-main event for that bs pac-bradley. I think it'll go to a purse bid though.

I think Zurdo beats him regardless of where the fight goes, Germany or US.

I do wish that Zurdo would get a better trainer though. He's got a lot of potential.
