Makes me laugh when people try to claim Rigo would beat them easy lol. Who did Rigo beat that comes even close to Morales or Barrera? Donaire? LOL . Im not saying he wouldnt win but u guys are funny lol I think Hamed loses but Barrera and Morales would have a great chance to beat him.

      agreed.
and lets not forget hamed has a very unorthodox style, that will be troublesome for rigo.
his power/explosiveness combined with rigos chin = shattered chin

rigo best win = the donaire who got outboxed by darchinyan, the limited 1-dimensional donaire..

dunno where all the hype for rigo is coming from..

Haters are gonna hate. I don't even think it was a full two weeks.

This thread exemplifies how overrated Rigo is. I'd easily favor Morales and Barrera over Rigo. Hamed/Rigo is hard to call though.

If I recall, Francisco already had a fight lined up, well out from the date, they just swapped out opponents. He had already put in most of a camp, they just had to adjust the game plan. Rigondeaux had a fight lined up for the middle of December. He had just started training, when he accepted the fight. Francisco was a ranked contender at the weight class. He is a professional and has an awkward style. Rigondeaux was clearly not even in shape to fight, huffing and puffing in the corner between the first and second rounds. His timing both offensively, and defensively was off, and he got tagged several times with flush shots during the fight. He still won easy. That is a testament to his skill level.

But Rigs would be smart to not take a fight on a weeks notice against a better opponent.

People question Donaire (fighter if the year) as a weak win for Rigo but what was the best win for Erik Morales/Marco Antonio Barrera at 122?

He's not a weak win, its a very good win, Rigos best by far. But Donaire just wasn't in these guys class at 122. He didn't look very good at 122 beating some mediocre champs. The noteworthy thing is this guy was a dominant champ at 112, 115, 118 already, largely by being much bigger and more powerful than his comp. By 122 hed lost that advantage

Rigo did a loop wheel around Amagasa trying to be fancy that no other boxers do anyways, and Amagasa was ranked #2 from Japan an #7 world at the time.
