If Parker was worthy a Fury or Wilder shot he would have stepped by now, he is taking the safe route to a payday.

      States and the UK

Parker is outstanding prospect. His trainer Kevin Barry is world class.
Duco his promoters are not helping him. They can't get top guys to come
to NZ.It time for Parker to go to the States or the UK.
It might be time to say goodbye to Duco.

The facts are: He is not ready,he only fought 17 fights,he 23 years old.
2017 is his year.Another year he will beat these guys.

That doesn't excuse why he hasn't stepped it up yet. He's been blowing these lower level guys out the water for a while now. What's been the point of that?

Parker looks really good but i agree with those sayong he needs to step up his comp before making statements like this.

Age is no excuse imo. If you are winning easily and not being tested at all then it doesnt matter you are 19 or 40 l, you need to step up. Any flaws he has are not being exposed and are probably being reinforced the longer he goes on fighting these 1-2 round blowouts.

He should be mixing with top 20 opposition at least

Seen so many prospects come and go. For me he doesn't pass the eye test but that's my opinion. I think he's vastly over rated, very very over rated.

That's an important point and one which isn't given enough credence in a fighter's development. There's a belief among certain fans and trainers that you can never take a prospect too slowly, that any fights he has are automatically going to be for the good of his overall experience, as if real life were an RPG where grinding to get levels has the same overall effect as taking on one or two big bad guys. But for every mistake left unpunished by fighters unable or unwilling to capitalise on them, the less a fighter will feel the need to address them and the more set in his ways he'll become.

I'm already seeing bad habits creeping into Parker's game and I only hope those habits can be exposed in a way that isn't going to be deleterious to his whole progression as a fighter. He needs a Dillian Whyte style wake up call, in other words.

You mean like Wilder and Fury did right. I see.

Last I checked Parker was being brought along for a WBO shot and looks to be well ahead of his nearest opponents with Martin competing against Glazkov and Joshua's team seemingly reluctant to match him up against a puncher any time soon. I expect Parker will be mandated by the WBO before the end of the year.
