    In a very late entry for Upset of the Year, Mexico's Jose Argumedo pulled off a stunning - albeit debatable - split decision win over Katsunari Takayama on the road Thursday evening in Osaka, Japan.

    Scores were 87-84 (twice) in favor of Argumedo and 86-85 for Takayama, who was unable to continue after nine grueling rounds of action due to cuts over both eyes. Because both wounds were produced by headbutts, the bout went to the scorecards

    I had it 87-84 too....for Takayama.
    Right after they complained you have to KO a person in Japan to get a decision.

    They took that Reveco loss hard last year

      lol how can u upset a modern fighter that only fights 2 time a year likely that already has 8 losses lol??
      he's the epitome of the term "belt holder"..not champion
      i hope uchiyama is next..he's a cherry picker and is inactive

            lol didn't know you were talking about TyC.
            Didn't watch there but they are pretty dumb.
            Regardless, I think you can make the argument that "that one guy" could've edged it.

            As for the Ioka-Reveco fight and the TyC commentators...
            If anything, that finish set up the trilogy fight.

              Because Takayama is a famous champ in Japón, has a lot of experience(he won titles of FIB.CMB.OMB AND AMB) and was the local champ.

              Argumedo is just an humble mexican fighter. Here in México nobody know who is the new champ.

              Argumedo never was televised....lol
