It's not about Bradley being a bigger name or not. It's about fans wanting to see Manny vs a new face then wanting to see a repeat of the same fight we already seen twice. Manny vs khan, Crawford or Broner even if none of those guys have headlined PPV before would all likely generate more buys because most fans will likely refuse to buy Bradley fight because they seen it already and everyone knows Manny won the first 2 fights pretty easily. Only way this fight doesn't totally bomb is if they stack the entire undercard and that likely still won't be enough.

But if you make the argument who has the bigger name I'm sorry it's still Bradley still doesn't mean I want to see him fight Manny again. But Khan has multiple real bad loses. Bradley has only lost to Manny an all time great and didn't embarrass himself in the loss like khan has multiple times. Khan has also fought nothing but weak compitition for the last 3 years and has gone backwards in his career, reputation and fan base as a result. And lastly Bradley is a legit world champ and on everyone top p4p list khan is neither a year ago this time both khan and Bradley went head to head in fight cards on the same night and Bradley killed him in the ratings. Khan is not the same draw he was prior to getting put to sleep by Danny.

Oh, I agree 100%. I'm just addressing Arum's point about HBO not being fond of Khan.

This fight will be competitive but it WILL bomb. ****ing such a ****** decision by Arum tbh. I think he wants to keep Crawford and isn't confident that he'll beat Manny at this point so didn't go for that which is fair enough but I think he should have gone with Khan 100%. That would have done good numbers and it's something fresh man, something different. Bradley v Manny feels like we're just reverting back to 2012 WW where it ******, lets be honest.

WW is so good right now and they choose to do a rematch which didn't really warrant it. Brook, Khan, Thurman, Garcia, Guerrero, Porter, Broner (he's 140 as well) all at 147.

I'm convinced this was 100% Bob Arum's decision. Don't see any financial reason for HBO wanting Bradley over Khan when neither of them are ppv draws and if Pacquiao truly had input on who he faced he wouldn't have been mentioning Broner as recently as a week ago.

Pacquiao would have had a more interesting and lucrative career had he made the smart move and parted ways with TR & Arum.

i'm happy with anybody except for khans sorry ass. he's ducked all the top welters to beg for mayweather and pacquiao then accused the same welters of ducking after they've already signed to fight each other.

Bradley is no kind of draw - I was at his fight vs. Rios at the Thomas & Mack Center in UNLV last month. The entire upper section of Thomas & Mack was closed off (so seating was only available in the lower bowl) and the lower bowl was only maybe a little more than half (60-65%) full by the time of the main event. And I'd say the majority of fans there were either neutral or supporting Rios...

I would need to hear confirmation of this from HBO before I believe it.

True, but how many non-hardcore boxing fans know of Bradley outside of his 2 losses to Pacquiao? & how many of those casual fans are actually interested in part 3?

Fact is Pacquiao is the draw, his opponent is not. If they could push a ppv against Algieri, then they can against anyone, no excuses.

Bradley's done well for himself. There was a point where Khan and Bradley were 1 and 2 at 140, Khan signed with Haymon in pursuit of Floyd, Bradley with Top Rank in pursuit of Manny...long story short, Bradley's getting a Manny fight for the third time and Khan has probably taken a picture with Floyd.

The only reason Khan's not getting the fight is because of Haymon-Top Rank relations, otherwise this could've been him and I'm sure he knows it.

And khan vs algeri in NY they closed of 2/3 of the arena because they had 1/3 attendance despite reports of PBC giving away a ton of free tickets. It's not about khan being a bigger draw it's about nobody wanting to see Bradley fight Manny again. Khan can't draw big crowds in the US and this year proved it. His fanbase has dropped dramatically due to bad knockout loss to Danny and 3 years of horrible mismatches as he tried to back his way into a fight with Floyd which blew up in his face.

People need to separate the argument to who I'd rather see and who is the bigger draw. Bradley is a fine enough draw and a elite fight against anyone else but Manny because fans are tired of seeing those 2 fight each other.
